Signal Hill

Signal Hill, national historic site, is a popular tourist attraction with breathtaking nature and wildlife views. Watch bald eagles, whales, and other wildlife along the rugged coastline in season. Learn of the military role that Signal Hill played during WW2 and visit the many canons and other war artifacts that remain on display atop the massive cliffs. During summer, the noon day gun is fired from Cabot Tower and the Queen's Battery Barracks are open for public tours. Visit the Signal Hill Visitor Centre to learn about the history of Signal Hill from informative staff, visual aids, and even some authentic artifact.
