Quidi Vidi Lake

Quidi Vidi Lake is located in St. John's, Newfoundland. It is home to the province's oldest outdoor sporting event, the annual Royal St. John's Regatta. This rowing competition, held on the first Wednesday in August, attracts a large number of spectators who, on that day, can also enjoy activities at various booths and concessions along the water's edge. Quidi Vidi Lake is popular not only for the Regatta, but also for its 2.4 mile nature trail and many species of water-loving birds that congregate along it shores in large numbers.
